Themba Mbuyisa is a contemporary photographer and visual artist from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Biography
Themba graduated in 2015 from the Advanced Program in Photography at the Market Photo Workshop and completed Foundation and Intermediate Courses in Photography. Mbuyisa has been involved in photography since 2010, having studied Intro to Desktop Publishing and Design at Vega School and BSc Mathematical Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has received numerous awards, including the 2017 Gauteng Province Youth Excellence and Service Award, the 32nd Villa Noailles Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyeres, France, and the Sasol New Signatures 2016 finalist. He has participated in various exhibitions and has received commissions from Netflix, DTSV, GQ, Vogue, Levi’s, Glamour Magazine, and Fassi G.R.U. Cranes.]
