He has been actively involved in community projects that inspire and educate youth in the arts and creative thinking, notably as a member of the Cape Town-based photography group, Iliso Labantu. Through these initiatives, Kwanele has demonstrated his ability to navigate complex challenges and leverage resources to create meaningful impact within his community.

Kwanele's passion for documentary photography and film is evident in his numerous collaborations and creative endeavors.
